Turning public health education into an award winning campaign

WHERE THE JOURNEY BEGAN

The spark for The ”Boost Your Brain” campaign came from Dementia Jersey themselves. They already had a concept, encouraging islanders to make small lifestyle changes that support long-term brain health and were looking for a creative partner to help bring it to life.

Together, we took the seed of an idea and built it into a fully-fledged, multi-channel campaign that balanced science with storytelling. Our team helped expand the creative vision developing a suite of digital and real-world activations that could reach every corner of the island.

By combining Dementia Jersey’s expertise with Snap’s strategic and creative approach, Boost Your Brain grew from a local awareness idea into a vibrant, island-wide movement for better brain health.

the challenge

Dementia affects a growing number of islanders, yet public awareness of how to actively reduce the risk remains low. Dementia Jersey set out to change that with a campaign that could communicate credible evidence — showing that simple lifestyle changes can reduce the risk of dementia by up to 45%. The goal was to transform complex health science into clear, engaging behavioural prompts that people could easily understand and act on. 

At the same time, the campaign needed to reach hard-to-engage audiences across Jersey who often feel disconnected from traditional health messaging, while delivering measurable engagement and creating long-term, reusable digital assets that could continue to drive awareness well beyond the initial launch.

our approach

The campaign’s execution centred on bringing optimism, clarity, and accessibility to every touchpoint. We introduced a fresh visual identity and warm, approachable tone of voice that replaced fear with hope, empowering people to take simple, positive steps for their brain health.

At the heart of the campaign was an interactive quiz that delivered a personalised learning experience, guiding users into a tailored digital environment designed to inform and inspire.

To take the message beyond screens, we wrapped planters around town and even the back of a bus in vibrant campaign visuals. Brain-shaped QR codes were brought to life across cafés, gyms, community centres, and other everyday spaces—turning familiar places into moments of discovery and engagement.

Short-form animated videos were also deployed across social and digital channels to keep the message front of mind, and the campaign rollout was supported with a comprehensive content strategy, targeted copywriting, and paid media amplification to drive participation and maximise impact.
